Here is another progress shot of the portrait of Frank Sedgman...this is the part where the painting gradually evolves slowly uncovering the person inside. Frank's legendary winning spirit and clear determination is reflected in his eyes.

Hi Bella,
I love your painting. It is stunning. You have really captured his look and in your summary, have been quick to get to know him as a person too. The words on your blog describe him well. That is my father. Something you failed to mention which may not have come through at the sitting; He also has a quirky sense of humour and is now saying things his humble self would've never said in the past. When talking to one of his grandchildren the other day he compared himself to the great player of today Roger Federer. He said "You know I have more Grand Slam titles than Roger Federer....he's only got 19......I've won 22!" He's funny and great.
